At around 3 to 4 am in the morning on the final day of church camp, I woke up to an excruciating pain in my gut/abdominal region. It got so bad that I had to get out of bed. I fumbled around in the dark, put on my glasses and went to the bathroom where the next thing I knew, I was on the floor with the bathroom light shining in my eyes above me, with the underside of the sink in my view as well. My glasses had fallen off during my fall and I felt no strength within myself to open my eyes or move my head, much less to get up. The pain remained and between long blinks up at the bathroom light, I thought to myself "Oh man, is this the end for me?"

I remembered what was taught to me that all of us have the Holy Spirit within us and so have the power to command pain and evil, sickness and suffering to flee in the Name of Jesus. I called upon Jesus at once, then remembered to address the pain directly. I prayed, 'Pain, be gone! Pain, get away from me! Never come back! Holy Spirit, come!'

The more I prayed, the more strength I had. I managed to get up. Throughout, I also had no pain anywhere on my head although I had definitely fallen on my head (and with such force that my glasses were ripped off my face and were bent). I believe that the Lord had protected me throughout the tremendous fall!

I managed to get back to bed after a while, where my sister had no notice of what had happened to me as she was sound asleep.

I woke up again at 6:22 am with some moderate pain. I knew to pray again and that's exactly what I did. All fear was gone and I prayed that all the pain would leave me completely and never return.

Right now, as I am writing these words, it has been 15 hours later since that moment and I have not faced anymore symptoms of any abdominal pain! Hallelujah our God heals! We are children of God and that is all the authority we need to call upon the power of the Holy Spirit within us to save, to heal, to defeat all pain, suffering, evil and torment! All glory to God!

As someone who never experienced food poisoning (only once long ago when I was a child), I wasn't sure what the reason was for my excruciating abdominal pain. Although I don't know why, I know that I was in pain and now I am healed!

In that moment, God wasn't my last resort. He was my ONLY resort. Although the time was inconvenient, such a moment brought about a huge affirmation that the power of the Holy Spirit is real, is present and can save and heal! All praise to God alone!
